Cambridge Pro Bono Project

On 18 February, the CPP hosted Sir Jeffrey Jowell KCMG QC, together with the University of Cambridge's Centre for Public Law. The topic of Sir Jeffrey's talk was "Is the UK Constitution Fit for Purpose?"

Sir Jeffrey gave an overview of the challenges the UK's constitution has been facing in recent years, and highlighted areas where fault lines seem to be emerging. Once he had finished his talk, we had a lot of very interesting audience questions which Sir Jeffrey answered. Although we weren't able to get to all the questions, the ones that we did cover were thought provoking and Sir Jeffrey's depth of knowledge was clear. We were very grateful for his time.
