Project for Justice Adda on the delivery of legal aid in India

Justice Adda is a research group focused on increasing access to justice. This project involved researching and developing on existing literature around the topic of legal aid in India, by exploring the ways in which different government agencies can be incentivized, coordinated and strategized to work towards a defined legal aid and justice delivery system. The project took a comparative, cross-jurisdictional approach in its analysis.

The project lead was Titksha Mohanty.

Inter-American Court of Human Rights

The project managers for this project were Rolando Seijas and Andre Dao. The team was involved in drafting a report for a specific case before the Court.

REDRESS

The project managers for this project were Nick Petrie and Isabelle Haßfurther.

REDRESS is a human rights organisation that helps torture survivors obtain justice and reparation through legal assistance and extensive advocacy with a variety of actors such as governments, parliaments, international organisations and the media.

The project involved researching international domestic practice on ‘special mission immunity’. Special mission immunity may provide personal inviolability and/or immunity from criminal jurisdiction, preventing the prosecution of foreign officials that are responsible for torture and other international crimes. The CPP was asked to assist in determining whether and to what extent customary international law requires States to grant special mission immunity.
